The USDA Food and Nutrition Service is responsible for administrating different programs that support hunger and obesity, such as the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program, Summer Food Service Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, and Special Milk Program1.  

These programs reimburse organizations such as schools, child care centers and after-school programs because they work to provide healthy meals to children.

Island Mango Tomato Salsa

  • 2 Cups Heinz No Salt Added Diced Tomatoes

  • 2 fresh mangos (peeled, diced small)

  • ½ cup cilantro (chopped)

  • ½ cup fresh lime juice

  • 1 cup red onion (minced)

  • 2 Tbsp Jerk seasoning

  • 1/2 cup poblano peppers (seeded, diced small)
