There’s no pairing more perfect than ketchup and French fries – except maybe two Pittsburgh institutions coming together to celebrate 150 years of HEINZ.
At the Primanti Bros. location in Market Square, fans could pose with an epic sized birthday card featuring a 12-foot-tall HEINZ Ketchup Bottle turned upside down, and post their photos online with #FlipForHeinz for a chance to win one of fifteen $150 Primanti Bros. gift cards.
The restaurant has been a Pittsburgh institution since the Great Depression, and even from its early days as a sandwich cart in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, business was booming for founder Joe Primanti. Eventually he and his brothers relocated to a permanent storefront, and the rest is history.
There was no better way to share the story of the 150 year anniversary of HEINZ, and it was only possible thanks to the support and partnership of Primanti Bros.
